Room Blocking

The room blocking window allows you to assign rooms to all reservation with a given arrival date.

The top area of the room blocking window allows you to search for reservations to which you would like to assign rooms. You can search reservations by one or more of the following criteria:

Arrival date
Room type
Group name

By default, the system only finds reservations to which no room has been assigned yet. enable the "Include assigned rooms" option to also include reservations with assigned rooms.

Reservation details area

The left middle area of the room blocking window displays a list with all found reservations. Select a reservation to display more details in the lower area of the screen.

Available rooms area

The right middle area displays a list of available rooms that can be assigned to the selected reservation (in the left middle area). Double click a room to assign that room to the selected reservation. If no available rooms are being displayed, you may need to change the room search criteria.

Room search area

The lower right area allows you to search for a specific room for the currently selected reservation. By default, this area displays the room type, features and CRS service codes that are specified for the selected reservation. All rooms displayed in the available rooms area, meet the specified requirements.

You may not have any rooms available for the specified requirements. In that case, you will need to modify the requirements. For example:

Remove one or more of the requested features.
Un-tick one or more of the CRS service codes.
Change the room type.

Note Removing one or more of the requested features or services, or changing the room type means that you assign a room that does not meet the requests made by your guest.

The 'Rooms' window will be displayed during check-in if you do not assign a room prior to the guests arrival. This window provides similar features to assign a room.
