Two additional columns are added to the availability view once allotments have been defined. One column displays the total number of allocated rooms and one column will display the number of rooms that are already picked from the allotment either by a real reservation or the entered booking position.
The availability can be requested with or without "allotment as definite". If requested with "allotments as definite" all allocated rooms are deducted from the availability as if they are used in actual reservations. If the availability is requested without "allotment as definite", the rooms that are left in allotment are ignored and displayed as available rooms (entered booking positions are calculated as actual reservations, they reduce the number of rooms left in allotment).
The default "on" or "off" setting for the "allotment as definite" option can be changed with the Allotment is definite parameter on the system page in the parameters.
The hotels status displays a line with reservations left in allotment, i.e. the number of rooms in the allotment for which no reservations have been made and that is not released yet. Entered booking positions are included in the definite reservations figure.
