From Amadeus - PMPRO version 10.2.140.xxx it is possible to switch to tokenizing credit card numbers.
This way NO credit card numbers are stored, processed or transferred within Amadeus - PMPRO anymore, making the handling of credit card numbers more secure and therefore does not have to be PA DSS compliant.
Instead tokens are saved, which can be detokenized by certain users to get the necessary information, for example to charge a credit card manually in case of a no show.
These credit card tokens are created and handled by Amadeus Payments.
To convert Amadeus - PMPRO to tokenizing credit card numbers will take approximately one day and it has to be installed by an Amadeus - PMPRO Implementation Specialist.
This tokenization also has been implemented into Amadeus - PMPRO version 10.2.131.1305 for customers with a Best Western interface.
