Maintenance Reasons

As part of your daily room management, you may need to put bedrooms Out of Order or Out of Service. Maintenance reasons need to be set up in advance to help speed up this process.

Click this button to add a new record.

Click this button to delete the selected record. Note that you cannot delete a record that is in use.

Code

A numeric or alpha-numeric code of up to 3 characters. The code must be unique and is used for reports.

Warning.Do NOT change the code once the maintenance reason has already been used. This will have the same effect as deleting a maintenance reason, as explained above.

Description

A description of up to 25 characters that can be entered in multiple languages. The description is used when selecting a maintenance reason for OOO/OOS rooms. It is also printed on reports and displayed in the room plan.

 Tip. A list of all Out of Order and/or Out of Service rooms plus details can be printed from the Reports » Housekeeping menu.
