In the event Amadeus - PMPRO is unable to correctly process incoming IHG CRS reservations, the reservation message will be added to the CRS log with an error flag. This allows you to solve the source of the problem and reprocess the reservation message.
Incoming
reservation are always added to the reservation list, even when Amadeus
PMPROwas unable to correctly process it's details.
Error types
The CRS log distinguishes the following error types:
Cause
The CRS log indicates a rate code error in case the received message is a reservation message while:
The used IHG CRS rate category is NOT correctly linked with a Amadeus - PMPRO rate code. The reservation will be created in Amadeus - PMPRO with the default rate code that has been specified in the parameters.
The used IHG CRS rate category IS correctly linked with a Amadeus - PMPRO rate code. However, the Amadeus - PMPRO rate code is not valid for the received reservation (no rates specified for the period the reservation will be in house). The reservation will be created in Amadeus - PMPRO with the default rate code that has been specified in the parameters.
Solution
To solve this error, you will need to find the IHG CRS rate category that is used for the reservation that contains the error. To do this you can:
Select the message that contains the error. The right pane of the log viewer displayed the message that was received from IHG CRS. The AC: segment of the message contains the used IHG CRS rate category, the arrival date and the number of nights. Example
This is a message example from a reservation with the IHG CRS rate category IRRCK, with an arrival on 13DEC04 for 02 nights.

If you cannot find the used code in the message you can also search for the reservation on IHG CRS by using the IHG CRS confirmation number that is displayed in the CRS log.
Follow the next steps in Amadeus - PMPRO once you know the used IHG CRS rate category:
Choose Rate Codes from the Setup ยป Financial menu.
Locate the rate code with which the IHG CRS rate category should be linked and choose [Edit].
Verify the rate code details:
Make sure that the specified CRS code is correct. Change the entry in case the specified IHG CRS rate category is incorrect.
Make sure the Amadeus - PMPRO rate code is valid for the entire in house period of the reservation.
If you added a new rate category on IHG CRS, you will also have to add a new rate code in Amadeus - PMPRO and link it to the IHG CRS rate category.
In the CRS log, select the line with the rate code error and choose [Reprocess] after the rate code details have been corrected. The message will now be reprocessed and the error will be lifted if the rate code details have been corrected.
Cause
This CRS log MAY indicate and address error when Amadeus - PMPRO has received a reservation change without a guest name, while the reservation in Amadeus - PMPRO does not contain a guest name either.
This
situation should only occur with reservations that have been manually
entered in Amadeus - PMPRO prior to cut over to Amadeus - PM PRO
with the CRS interface.
Solution
To solve this error you will need to
Search for the reservation on IHG CRS by using the IHG CRS confirmation number that is displayed in the CRS log.
Edit the reservation, change something in the guest information screen and then re-sell the reservation with action code FS (Force Sell). This will cause IHG CRS to send the complete reservation again to Brilliant.
In the CRS log, select the line with the address error and choose [Reprocess]. The message will now be reprocessed and the error will be lifted.
Cause
The CRS log indicates a group error in case the received message contains a reservation that is picked up from a group while:
The used IHG CRS group code is NOT correctly linked with a Amadeus - PMPRO allotment code. The reservation will be created in Amadeus - PMPRO without an allotment code and with the default rate code that has been specified in the parameters.
The used IHG CRS group code IS correctly linked with a Amadeus - PMPRO allotment code. However, the Amadeus - PMPRO allotment is not valid for the received reservation (reservation dates fall outside the allotment dates, room type not valid for the allotment etc.). The reservation will be created in Amadeus - PMPRO without an allotment code and with the default rate code that has been specified in the parameters.
Solution
To solve this error, you will need to find the IHG CRS rate category that is used for the reservation that contains the error. To do this you can:
Select the message that contains the error. The right pane of the log viewer displayed the message that was received from IHG CRS. The AC: segment of the message contains the group code, the dummy IHG CRS rate category GZGRP, the arrival date and the number of nights. Example
This is a message example from a reservation picked up from group XYZ with the IHG CRS rate category GZGRP (default rate category for reservations picked up from a group), with an arrival on 15DEC04 for 02 nights.
