Room Discrepancies

Room discrepancies arise when the room occupancy of a reservation is different from the occupancy that is reported by a room attendant. The housekeeping list displays the following occupancy and discrepancy information.

Occ. FO

This column indicates the status of the room according to the reservation data.

OCC when the room is occupied; a reservation is checked in to the room.
VAC when the room is vacant; a reservation has not been checked in to the room.

Prs. FO

This column indicates the number of persons that occupy the room according to the reservation data.

Occ. HK

This column indicates the room occupancy according to the room attendant. This status must be entered in Amadeus - PMPRO by using the [Status] button in the housekeeping list.

Prs. HK

This column indicates the number of persons that occupy the room according to the room attendant. This must be entered in Amadeus - PMPRO by using the [Status] button in the housekeeping list.

Discrepancy

This column displays possible discrepancies between the reservation and the housekeeping status.

SKIP

SKIP indicates that the room is occupied according to the front desk but vacant according to the housekeeping. This could have been caused by a walk out. You should check the reservation and decide whether it is a walk out or not. If you are fully booked, you may want to check out the reservation to sell the room to another guest.
SLEEP

SLEEP indicates that the room is vacant according to the front desk but occupied according to the housekeeping. This may indicate that the guest has been checked out by mistake, or even that the guest indeed has checked out, but forgot his luggage or went back to the room for whatever reason. You should check the room and reservation and decide what to do. You may be overbooked if the guest decided to stay.
PERSONS

PERSONS indicates that, according to the room attendant, more or fewer people are staying in the room than indicated in the reservation. You should check the reservation and decide whether you want to charge for the additional guest(s).

Note The SKIP and SLEEP statuses prevail over the PERSONS status.

The [Status] button in the housekeeping list allows you to enter the housekeeping status of the room. The specified status is used to calculate the discrepancy.
