Credit Card Processing

Amadeus - PMPRO provides (optional) interfaces to numerous electronic credit card processing systems. The interface can be used to:

• Automatically read and enter card details in reservations

  A [Credit card] button is added to the reservation window. The credit card processing window will appear when you choose this button.

   

• Online credit card validation and authorization requests

  You may validate a card online, by requesting an authorization for e.g. $ 1,- During check-in you may change the amount to request a new authorization for a higher amount.

   

• Online credit card payments

  The credit card processing window appears when you pay a folio or invoice with a credit card. The payment will be processed through the electronic payment system.

   

Field description

The following fields are available in the credit card processing window:

• Amount

  Enter the amount for which you would like to request an authorization. A default amount is automatically entered based on the total stay amount and the additional amount/percentage setting in the preferences.

   

• Credit card number

  To enter the credit card number. If a magnetic card reader is installed, you may activate this field and swipe a credit card to import the cards details.

   

• Expiration date

  To enter the cards expiration date. The expiration date is entered automatically when you swipe a credit card.

   

• Authorization

  The received authorization code will automatically be entered in this field. The authorization can also be entered manually if you received a phone authorization.

   

• Depending on the credit card interface, other fields may be available.

Requirements

• A credit card processing system and an interface to that system must be installed.

• The credit card interface must be configured.

• Pay methods must be configured to automatically process posted payments
