Deny Reservation

The deny option is used to record reservation denials, which can be used for statistical reporting. This allows your sales & marketing department to trace missed opportunities. A reservation can be denied by you (you may be fully booked) or by the guest (the rate may be too high).

Contact

In this field you can attach a contact to the denial. Use the contact link box to select a contact.

 

Reason

Select a denial reason.

Press [ALT] + arrow down in the blank field to display a list of available denial reasons, highlight one and press Enter to select.

Arrival

Enter the arrival date of the denied reservation.

 

Nights

Enter the number of nights the guest would have wanted to stay.

The number of nights will be filled in automatically when you enter the departure date first.

Departure

Enter the departure date of the denied reservation.

The departure date will be filled in automatically when you enter the number of nights first.

Rooms

Enter the number of rooms the guest would have wanted to book.

 

Room type

Select the room type that would have been used for the denied reservation.

Press [ALT] + arrow down in the blank field to display a list of available denial reasons, highlight one and press Enter to select.

Adults

Enter the number of adults who would have stayed in one room. For example: enter 2 for a group reservation of 5 double rooms and a total of 10 adults.

 

Children

Enter the number of children per age category.

 

Market

Select the market code of the denied reservation.

Press [ALT] + arrow down in the blank field to display a list of available denial reasons, highlight one and press Enter to select.

Select the source code of the denied reservation.

Press [ALT] + arrow down in the blank field to display a list of available denial reasons, highlight one and press Enter to select.

Free text field

In this field you can enter any additional remarks with regard to the denied reservation.

 

OK

Choose [OK] to save the entered denial details.

 

Cancel

Choose [Cancel] to close the deny window without saving the entered details.

 

 


In Reports / Statistics you can call statistics regarding the denials per arrival date, contact or creation date.
