Amadeus - RezExchange is the channel management system used by PMPRO version 10.1 and newer to:
Distribute rates, availability and restrictions to online reservation systems such as Booking.com, Expedia, the GDS's, Pegasus RezView NG and more.
Publish an internet booking engine on your website.
Retrieve reservations that have been created, modified or cancelled online.
For detailed information about RezExchange, please visit their website at https://www.amadeus-hospitality.com.
The RezExchange interface is a program that always runs in the background of PMPRO, usually on your server. Every interval, usually 10 minutes, the interface contacts the RezExchange system to retrieve reservations and to upload changed rates, availability and restrictions. RezExchange in it's turn distributes this information to third party reservation systems.
Upload nightly rates (rate period = night, other periods cannot be uploaded).
Upload standard room types (room type group = standard, other groups cannot be uploaded).
Upload rate restrictions: closed, closed to arrival, min. length of stay, allocation (min. length of stay cannot be uploaded).
Upload extra's.
Upload corporate account user name, password and rates to give corporate accounts access to their own corporate rates when they make online reservations. Corporate accounts can guarantee their reservations with a credit card or a billing instruction/guarantee type (if configured).
Download new, changed and canceled reservations.
Guests who made a reservation on your website or a third party internet reservation system will have a confirmation number that is different from the PMPRO reservation number. For example, the RezExchange confirmation number looks like: ABC-FC123. To search reservations by the third party reservation number:
Reservations » Query (or F7)
Click the Clear Entries button
Enter the reservation number in the "Res.Nr." field and click the Search button
Search again if the reservation is not found, but now precede the reservation number with an asterisk and click the Search button. For example, enter *123 to let the system search for all reservations that have a reservation number that contains 123. The system will find reservations with number 123, 12345678, 100012345, ABC-FC123 and so on.
The wild card search option is only available for reservation numbers. Please be aware that this search method needs more time to find reservations that match your entered search criteria.
The parameter "Rate restrictions per roomtype" in Setup » Preferences » [Reservations] must be enabled.
Create a CRS Channel and specify which room types and rate codes must be uploaded to RezExchange.
Your room type codes and rate codes must be configured on RezExchange before you enable them in a channel. The interface will receive upload errors from RezExchange when you enable room types or rate codes do not exists on RezExchange. Contact hospitality.rxsupport@amadeus.com to add new codes.
To sell extra items such as breakfast, fruit basket in the room, baby cot etc. create or edit a product and specify an availability and a CRS Booking type.
To allow corporate accounts to make their own reservations on your website, create or edit a contact. Specify a user name and password on the [Reservations] tab, and select the corporate rates this contact can use on the [Bill] tab.
Corporate rates must be specified in the contact AND in the CRS channels otherwise the rates will not be uploaded.
