Users

Only authorized users are allowed to use Brilliant. A user must therefor enter a user ID and password to log on to Brilliant.

Description of the available fields

Full Name

Specify the user's full name. This name can be printed on reports, information and confirmation letters.

User Name

The user ID must be entered when the user logs on to Brilliant. For a fast log-in, it is recommended to use the user's initials only.

Language

Amadeus - PMPRO is a multi lingual Property Management System. This option allows you to specify the language in which Amadeus - PMPRO should appear to the user. For example: an English speaking user can work in an English version of Amadeus - PMPRO while a French speaking user can work in French.

User group

Enter the name of the group with the appropriate user rights for this user.

Cashier

The cashier determines to which cashier number all payments will be linked.

  • Enter a valid cashier number if this user has his/her own float.

  • Leave empty (zero) if you use a different cashier per shift. If empty, users will have to specify the cashier number when they log on to Brillian

Job title

A text field of up to 30 characters. Enter the job title of the user. The department name or job title can be printed on information and confirmation letters.

Department

Select the department the user works for. Users are linked to departments to be able to send them departmental actions.

CRS Employee ID

Enter the CRS Employee ID. If the user does not have one, he can be enrolled [Enrollment]. Please note that the enrolling user MUST be enrolled already. The enrollment procedure for employees is the same (screen) as the member enrollment.

Status

The status of the user:

  • Active: user is allowed to login

  • Deleted: inactive user, not allowed to login anymore

  • Blocked: user is locked out after too  many login attempts with incorrect password.

  • New Password Required: user must specify a new password after the next login

You must set a password before you can set the status to "Active" or "New Password Required".

Automatic update: Notify

If the tick box 'Notify' is activated, the user is informed by an action, when an update is scheduled for this property.

Automatic update: Update

If the tick box 'Update' is activated, the user is authorized to execute an update manually, when an update is scheduled for this property.

Email

This is in preparation of a future feature to inform users by an e-mail about scheduled updates.

Set Password

(Available in Edit mode) First select a user and click the Edit button. Then click the Password button to change the password of the selected user. Use this to set a user's initial password and/or to reset a password in case a user has forgotten his/her password.

Please note: As user _SYSTEM_ or a user with MANAGER rights you can change a password without entering the old one.

TipUsers can change their own password by using the Change Password option from the File menu.

 Enrollment

(Available in Edit mode) First select a user and click the Edit button. Then click the PCR Enrollment button. This opens the Guest / Employee instant enrollment window.
