The Telephone page is used to specify settings to interface with third party telephone systems. Additional interface software must be installed to interface with third party systems. Contact your vendor for an up-to-date list of supported systems. There are two interface types for telephone systems:
COST interfaces. A cost interface receives telephone charges made in a guest room, after which the charges will be posted onto the guest's bill.
PBX interfaces. A PBX interface can be used with more advanced telephone systems. Beside charging phone calls, this interface can also open a telephone line during check-in, close during check-out, perform wake-up calls, handle messages and change the Amadeus - PMPRO room status from dirty to clean.
Interfaces are installed and tested by your vendor, preferably together with the vendor of the system that has to be interfaced. Do not change any of the interface parameters. Changing a parameter may cause an interface to stop working properly, which may result in loss of revenue!
Choose Preferences from the Setup menu. Then open the Telephone tab page.

Note |
Enable interface |
Enable this parameter to activate the interface functionality in Brilliant. |
|
Synchronize interface status |
If enabled, Amadeus - PMPRO will send the hotel status (rooms checked IN or OUT) to the third party system when choosing Synchronize Interfaces from the Tools menu. |
|
Cumulate charges per day |
Disable this parameter to post each telephone charge individually on a guest's bill. Enable it to cumulate pending telephone charges and post them when you enter a guest's bill, print a (financial) report or perform a night audit. |
|
Room charge product |
Specify the product to which charges from this third party system should be posted. |
Most interfaces also have an option to specify the product(s) that should be used for interface charges. In most situations, the product(s) specified in the interface overrule the product(s) specified in Brilliant. |
Room charge currency pay method |
Only to be used if the interface uses a different currency! |

This parameter can be used to specify the phone extension number(s) of phone booths. Multiple numbers must be separated by a comma. Calls from a phone booth can be transferred to a guest's folio or charged via the Passer By option. |
|
|
